Budget 5 days Pilgrimage – A low cost Holy Land package which leaves free time to explore “Tel Aviv, the white city” as well!
Day 1
Transfer to your hotel in Bethlehem – Dinner & Overnight.
Day 2
Visit the ancient Church of the Nativity, where we can really touch the very place where Jesus was born. Built by St. Helena already in the 4th century, it has been an active church and never destroyed ever since! Here St. Heronymus wrote the first Latin translation of the Bible – the “Volgata”. We shall also visit the “Milk Grotto” and the “Shepherds Fields”, and continue to Jerusalem. We start with an introduction to the city from the top of The Mount of Olives, and then walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane. We also visit the “Wailing Wall”, the last remnants of the Temple in Jerusalem. If the current situation allows it, we will try to visit the Temple Mount as well. We continue in the footsteps of Jesus along the Stations of the Via Dolorosa, Jesus’ “Way of Suffering”, and unto the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified and buried. The Via Dolorosa also passes through the Old City’s oriental “Suq” (Bazaar). At the end of the day we visit King David’s Tomb and the “Room of the Last Supper”, the Ceanaculum. Overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 3
After early breakfast, transfer to Nazareth. We Begin the day with a walking tour of Nazareth including the Church of Annunciation, the old city and the Market (suq), on the way from Nazareth we will pass through Cana and continue to Capernaum for a visit to Peter’s House. Then we will visit the Church on the Mt. of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount took place; Tabhga, the Church of the Primacy and the Church of the Multiplication. Overnight in Tel Aviv, or next to Tel Aviv.
Day 4
Free in Tel Aviv (Can join our optional tours for extra payment). Overnight in Tel Aviv, or next to Tel Aviv.
Day 5
Transfer to TLV airport for departure.
